KAREN HORGAN SPEAKING
Capturing and keeping patients’ attention is challenging enough at the doctor’s office, and, often, nearly impossible to accomplish between visits. Patient engagement strategies founded on innovative behavioral economics principles can activate both high need patients and the general population during and between provider visits. This session will introduce core behavioral economics science and showcase case studies from two leading hospital systems, Sutter Health and Mount Sinai Health System.
This session will address the following:
- How can behavioral economics enhance digital and operational workflows to increase patient engagement?
- Do engagement strategies differ for a high need group versus a broader patient population?
- What are effective approaches to utilize technology to catalyze patient behavior change?
